After graduating from college with a degree in Business Administration, Dick joined the Marine Corps and became a Naval Flight Officer. After serving a tour in Vietnam with over 285 combat missions in F-4 fighters, Dick left the Marines as a Captain in 1971 and began his career in the financial services industry. In 1985, his entrepreneurial spirit saw the overwhelming need to assist individuals who were facing retirement and formed Strategic Advisory Services, LLC, a Wealth Management firm specializing in retirement income planning. Dick has held the designation of Certified Financial Planner® since 1989, and has been a member in good standing of both the local and national Financial Planning Association since 1983.
On a personal side, Dick has been married since 1982 to his wife and business partner Suzi. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and they live in Sugar Land, TX, a suburb of Houston, TX.
